Photography / Various pictures of mine
September 19, 2015, 03:37:47 PM
I\'ve always been interested in photography, the last time P&A! Online was up running - I started getting into it more and I have found the revolution of devices to be quite compelling and useful. Especially with the arrival of quality of cameras inside mobile phones today.

Anyway, here are some various pictures I have taken.

This was taken with my old mobile, yet I find Wollaton Hall to be a very peaceful place to visit and walk around within Nottingham.

Another great share! It\'s also interesting to see the nest, especially that you was able to capture several photographs in the process.

Thanks for sharing!

The second picture looks breathtaking, I love the view point!

Also, I am prone to taking pictures myself using the characteristics of tree\'s as a way to capture the focus into the middle of the picture. Both images are very nice! Thanks for sharing, keep \'em coming!

Poetry / Aware

This one reminds me of when I first started getting into poetry as a young teen, in class my English teacher noticed me jotting down the formings of song lyrics and he encourage me to compare text by famous poets like Emily Dickinson and Simon Armitage which in turn got me into trying out poetry.

The poem is very inspiring for me, short but to the point and very well written.

Thanks for sharing!

Poetry / What dragons...sonnet
September 19, 2015, 01:55:21 PM
It\'s pieces like this which make me feel like such a fraud, I love poetry and I enjoy writing but something of this silk makes me quite envious but also inspired.

I love the way it smoothly reads, with words like \'Unfurling\', \'dragion zest\', \'perchance\' and \'burnished bronze\' really standing out.

This is a joy to read, thank you for sharing! Keep \'em coming!

Poetry / Tyranny - a sonnet
September 19, 2015, 01:42:39 PM
This is absolutely brilliant!

Just reading you can grasp a sense of the art behind the piece, it\'s wonderfully crafted and beautifully written. So many aspects of it which make it appeal to me, that I couldn\'t possible choose a favourite part but I am one of those who are a sucker for a great ending. With that in mind, I would like to say how the unwinding lines to the final part really strikes a chord with me.

General Discussion / Daily Talk; Saturday 19th September

It\'s match day in the world of football (soccer), so I am on split duties. I normally would be at the game, yet with it being away from home and under the current situation I haven\'t been to an away game for some time now.

I have the house to myself, so it\'s a bit quiet and depressing TBH.

Today, I am going to keep myself busy by focusing the sites. I also hope P&A! Members will brighten my day by sharing some items, as we could really do with some more. This said, I have created promotional images to be used to promote the site on all of our social pages and we are now at the stage whereby it\'s inviting time.

/profile/9-spacemonkey/\" data-ipshover=\"\" data-ipshover-target=\"http://poetryartonline.com/profile/9-spacemonkey/?do=hovercard\" data-mentionid=\"9\">@SpaceMonkey\'s been busy, he\'s already started!

I think later I will watch some TV, unwind or perhaps watch a film. I\'ve recently found a site which shares a lot of classic children\'s TV - This could very well end up with my full attention.

What are others upto/doing today? Let us know...

In-depth & Re-Working / a sonnet(ish)
September 19, 2015, 01:57:44 AM
I\'m not familiar with the style myself, yet it seems fun to try.

I like the start, it opens the poem up nicely and I felt it worked quite nicely. Obviously, someone else will have to give a more in-depth response, yet to be openly honest I think it\'s pretty good the way it is. The penguin line made me smile, combined with the line which follows it\'s very poetic - It actually reminds me lyrics to a degree.

You know a soft spoken song, with changes in the vocal! I would love to actually hear how this is intended to be read aloud.

General Art / Ipad doodle
September 19, 2015, 01:08:44 AM
When I first got my iPad, I decided to give the screen a test for its sensitivity - I also wanted to find a art app which my children could use, so I killed two birds with one stone (not literally). lolNow, this is a simple sketch but it only took a few minutes and I did it solely using my finger.Thoughts?http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/09/18/1bff4946ba0a1ccb243034343b3a5160.jpg\" alt=\"1bff4946ba0a1ccb243034343b3a5160.jpg\">

General Discussion / Daily Talk; Friday 18th September
September 18, 2015, 04:58:03 PM
I had a very important meeting today, it\'s taken a fair bit of my time up but I am hoping to reinvest what time I have into my sites/family. Currently the children are at my parents, so it gives me a little extra time but it would be nice to watch a movie together.

Apart from that, not really much to add but I am starting to feel better.

I think I will be starting to do some jogging etc, I feel inspired by /profile/6-frostykitten/\" data-ipshover=\"\" data-ipshover-target=\"http://poetryartonline.com/profile/6-frostykitten/?do=hovercard\" data-mentionid=\"6\">@FrostyKitten.

Poetry / It\'s Better with Distance
September 18, 2015, 11:38:07 AM
I\'d say it gets better as you read!

On a seriously note, the ending wasn\'t what I expected and it finalizes the piece quite nicely. The repeating of \"I am alive\", is distinctive and I found myself trying to read/say it when it wasn\'t actually there. That\'s one sign of a powerful contribution, a poem I find very well created and word for word flows very nicely.
