Introductions / My name\'s not really Cordelia
October 02, 2015, 11:48:53 PM
You can call me Cordelia, but I probably won\'t respond. My grandpa called me Sally, my students call me Miss, but you can call me Sarah. Because that is my name. https://iwouldratherread.wordpress.com/ I look forward to participating in this site; I miss regularly reading and writing poems, songs, and short stories!

If kids are interested in books when they are younger, they tend to carry it on into adulthood. I don\'t mind reading kids books myself, but i\'ve never enjoyed reading enough, to read adult books(i don\'t even own any adult books).
Exactly right. Though, I was always a reader and even when I was little, was reading adult books.

You have to start kids reading about things they are interested in, what they enjoy. After that buy-in, it\'s just a matter of getting them interested in just about everything /emoticons/biggrin.png\" alt=\":D\" title=\":D date=1443139144]

I just saw a preview for it. It didn\'t make me want to watch it, so I think I\'ll wait for it to get to Netflix or Amazon Prime. Would you recommend it?

LMAO!![/quote]Yes, I love the sitcom \"Vicious!\" So glad PBS is airing it here for us Americans to enjoy /emoticons/smile.png\" alt=\":)\" title=\":) date=1442713951]

\"Mr. Holmes.\"We really liked it, but are also huge fans of Ian McKellan. I had to stop myself from asking \"Why is Gandolf fighting crime?!\" a few times, ha!

I remember her sister, Joan, as the actress, but I think I only ever saw her in \"Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat\" ... and, of course, \"The Flintstones.\"

Just got this notification from CNN \"http://www.cnn.com/2015/09/19/entertainment/jackie-collins-obit/index.html\" rel=\"external nofollow\">Best-selling author Jackie Collins has died of breast cancer at age 77.\" I never read any of her books, but have always been fascinated by her celebrity status. I might have to pick up one of her novels as she was a \"trail blazer for women in fiction and a creative force.\"Have you read anything by her? Have any recommendations?
