*WARNING - Photos may be upsetting for some* A few years ago I was in South Africa for a friend\'s wedding and we went on game rides, where we would drive into the bush and observe animals in their natural habitat. Now, as we all know, nature is an unforgiving and unsympathetic place, and the reality of the bush is that animals attack each other in the wild.We witnessed a cheetah in full sprint chasing down and catching a steinbok...

Wow! It makes me sad to see that poor steinbok, but it\'s pretty amazing that you got to see that up close! Awesome!
See how \'cool\' the Leopard is in the first picture of the second post?
It\'s a grim set of pictures but that said it\'s nature, I think modern life brings us more gruesome pictures and for no reason but this is pretty fascinating. Again, considering these had been snapped with a mobile - It shows you how useful pocket cameras are. Great set of pictures these!
Keep \'em coming.
Now for a slightly more upbeat photo that does not involve death...
I personally love the whale photo, you kept these quiet for some time!
I hope P&A! Online gets you back into photography, as you seem pretty interested and you are actually good at it.
Well Poetry & Art! is the right place to showcase them! Think they may have been somewhat out of place on the other site \"So we\'ve made a bad start to the season and we need to change our tactics... here\'s a leopard!\"
The pictures of the leopard are very good and sad at the same time. Its not really something we see much of.I do like the whale one, it reminds me of the time i went on a boat to see dolphins.. Its something you never forget.
I find the cheetah pictures very impressive and not sad at all. They are certainly emotive as we have been de-sensitised to true nature and it\'s savagery but that\'s the cycle of life and for me these pictures capture the essence of the sahara through the cheetah hunting. It must have been an awesome experience and a true privilege to witness. The whale picture is pretty cool and I can imagine it was awesome to see. Don\'t envy the journey at all but at least you got a cool pic :-)
just one teeny correction from an ex-South African - it\'s a Steenbok not a steinbok. \"Steen\" means \"stone\" stein has something to do with drink...?
These are amazing shots!
These are cool! great share JJ.
great pics.. I do love nature.. even the killing kind..thanks for sharing!
