This is great. One line stands out to me, \"Tyranny menus the girl with a smile\" mostly because I\'ve never seen \'menu\' used in this way. What does it mean?

Thanks /profile/2-cheeky~k8/\" data-ipshover=\"\" data-ipshover-target=\"http://poetryartonline.com/profile/2-cheeky~k8/?do=hovercard\" data-mentionid=\"2\">@cheeky~k8. I\'m still not sure what the story is. I think I may use it to write something longer... someday.

Thanks /profile/11-stewart-alexander/\" data-ipshover=\"\" data-ipshover-target=\"http://poetryartonline.com/profile/11-stewart-alexander/?do=hovercard\" data-mentionid=\"11\">@stewart alexander. I\'m not sure what happened with the formatting before, it\'s fixed now as it was intended to look. The last lines are my favorites, too.

I love candles, I adore fire./monthly_2015_10/12113413_10153692413349806_4431289238707338853_o.jpg.522384a8bc42fa5f532be56e35b45432.jpg\">

I used a filter on Instagram for this one; it\'s very similar to the original - it just added more blue to the glass (refection of the sky that is reflected off my coffee table).

This is one of my favorite poems, but I cannot explain it, nor do I understand it. It came to me after I watched http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0258816/?ref_=nm_flmg_act_26\">The Reckoning. I think I need to rewatch the movie and see what kind of reaction I have to it now...-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------THE AWAKENING

Poetry / I Am
October 17, 2015, 03:46:34 PM
I really like this; really, really like this!First, it made me look up \"adjure\" and second, the emotions evoked by the words are powerful, and third, I really liked the shape of the poem. The only thing that slowed my roll was:
I wish I could explain myself,
though I can't no more.
I think it might be stronger if you kept the grammatical formality as the rest of the poem:
I wish I could explain myself,
but I can\'t anymore (or \"but I cannot anymore\" or \"but I just can\'t anymore\")
Some of these remind me of the ending to Pride and Prejudice movie (the one with Kiera Knightly). Very well taken photos!
Which ones remind you or P&P?

Poetry / her

Originally, the image I had was a single lily, but it was just cut-n-pasted onto a word doc and looked pretty shoddy. Over the summer, I came across this figurine at a friend\'s house and played with the angles. I\'m always reworking old poems, either with wording or images.I chose this image over another flower because I was struck by her expression and the \"Lady Liberty\" feel and support it lent my words. I had a lot of fun playing with the image, fading half of her out with extra lighting - is she disappearing or reemerging?

As I said before, I took a lot of sunset pictures when I was housesitting over the summer. Here\'s a collage I created of my favorites for a https://iwouldratherread.wordpress.com/2015/06/28/muse/\" rel=\"external nofollow\">Daily Photo Challenge through WordPress. There were several huge storms that raged through the area, a few sunset pics were taken just before they started.../monthly_2015_10/Sunset_Collage.jpg.2ce588c2a23e5242463457fb0ee57444.jpg\" class=\"ipsAttachLink ipsAttachLink_image\">

I don\'t think I added a filter; the sunsets I caught really didn\'t need one. I could spend hours looking at sunsets and clouds. Thanks guys

Of course venerable. Next topic: A Cheerful Death

To finally avoid going stray
He checked himself into the clinic
Bashfully, yet determinedly he said \"What do
I need to do to get neutered, not spade?\"
