That wasn\'t my intention for the butterfly, but I can definitely see why you thought that! I love when artwork changes with every viewer -- it\'s what makes art awesome Thanks for stopping by!

Challenges & Artistic Exercises / RHYMES!
October 09, 2015, 02:04:30 PM
I see no one is brave enough to tackle this topic, so here we go *deep breath* You dreamt of stars... and like stars they came—Crashing down,Silence in their booming sound,And Orion watched over youAs we ascended in the sky—"This holy red planet will die!"With new pests on your back,Feeding, clawing, gnawing at your core,Going back and forthWant it all—wanting more. So don't dream of stars, don't dream at all!Stay quiet in your secrets,Dry in your waterfallsAnd your scorch'd ground—Don't make a sound.  Next topic: Alpha (interpret word at will)

Your poems always have such nice flow/rhymes and great imagery. I like the juxtaposition often used in your work -- I\'m a big fan of that kind of writing

/profile/9-spacemonkey/\" data-ipshover=\"\" data-ipshover-target=\"http://poetryartonline.com/profile/9-spacemonkey/?do=hovercard\" data-mentionid=\"9\">@SpaceMonkey thanks a lot! I was hoping that the last stanza would make the reader want to go back and see if they can decipher anything else! I\'m all about ambiguous obscure poetry haha

I feel like this poem ends on a positive note which makes me enjoy it more. Kind of like the idea that even when bad stuff happens, there\'s always a silver lining.

Lovely! The composition in this is really good. I like that you chose to keep such a prominent foreground -- it makes me feel like I\'m there and that they image has depth!  Awesome!

It\'s part of a series meant to kind of illustrate depression, anxiety, oppression, etc. I\'m glad you thought that way about the butterflies

Hey guys and gals... Here\'s a painting I did in Photoshop with my Wacom Intuous 3 tablet quite a few years back. I would like to revisit this image and improve it, but sadly my Wacom is still in Canada while I\'m in the States. I was contemplating just buying a new one. This was one of my first major digital paintings. It ain\'t perfect, but I love it

I have a lot of obscure poetry like this and even some prose, but I\'m generally shy to post it. I enjoy writing \"obscure\" things, but I feel like readers would just get confused and think it\'s dumb hahaha I guess this poem had success among y\'all, so that makes me smile  Thanks for reading!
