Challenges & Artistic Exercises / 5 Random Words Challenge
September 25, 2015, 02:10:42 PM
Here\'s my lame attempt at this. I used to write a lot of poetry until one day when I stopped completely. I haven\'t written for an audience for a very long time... Words I got: Changes Circling Ripe Moth Hide Autumn leaves fall while rain drip dropsAmong the ripe red applesFor a momentBreath stops. Seasons come and go like changes doLike eagles circling preyLike you. In those last moments you finally sawThe death mothCan only hideInside the raven's claw.

General Discussion / Fear of the Walking Dead + TWD
September 25, 2015, 01:55:21 PM
My hubs and I love watching The Walking Dead. I bought the first few comics for him as a Christmas present a while back and he went on to buy the rest on his own because he really enjoyed it. I guess I nailed it with the present hehehe  We haven\'t caught up with Walking Dead yet and haven\'t started watching FOTWD either. I\'m kind of excited to see what it\'s all about! By the way you should check out Z Nation! It\'s almost a hillarious TWD parody, but not to the point where it\'s too dumb to watch -- we actually really like it! I guess it just takes itself a bit less seriously than TWD.

Some really great/strong imagery here!I love this line the most \"The sand turns to glass below my feet\" --  not sure why I like it so much, but I do!I also really liked this line \"At least my blood enriches life\" -- I think it can be read more than one way. The blood can be food for the mosquitos and thus helps keep \'em alive, but I also see it as something that keeps you alive and enriches the lives of those glad to have you around. Sometimes when we feel like we have nothing left, we have to take a step back and at least be grateful for the fact that we are alive

Again, beautiful pictures! The crow one is my favourite -- simple, good lighting and composition! Not that the others aren\'t good, but ya know... gotta like crows haha

/profile/22-cobby/\" data-ipshover=\"\" data-ipshover-target=\"http://poetryartonline.com/profile/22-cobby/?do=hovercard\" data-mentionid=\"22\">@Cobby thanks a lot for the detailed response!I haven\'t used a nikon camera so I\'m not sure how I\'d like that in comparison to the canon which is the only dslr I\'ve ever used hahaI\'m going to more thoroughly read through the link you sent!As for the mac vs pc -- I\'ve only ever used a pc/laptop at home, but I have used iMacs for a few classes I took in high school and university (took photography, videography, and a couple of graphic design classes). I\'ve never liked the OS for macs because I feel like it\'s not as user friendly as Windows, but that may also be because I got accustomed to using Windows and only used iOS for a few weeks. I guess I was wondering what you though about it because I often hear that macs are better when it comes to photo and video editing. I also see a lot of professionals I follow who only use apple stuff when it comes to that. So I was wondering if you knew what the hype is all about hahaThanks again for taking the time to write such a detailed response - much appreciated!

I was looking to get a Canon rebel t5 dslr... any thoughts? I used to a canon dslr back like 8 years ago and it took amazing pictures! Sadly I was only borrowing the camera at the time... really wish I had one of my own.I\'m really looking for a good dslr for my photos. Right now just using my phone for it -- decent camera, but I want my stuff to look more professional haha!Another question for you -- do you think a macbook vs a laptop is better for photo/video editing and such or do you think it doesn\'t matter what device you use and only the software matters?

Love these! Especially the first one  I had to tilt my head to see it right, but I can tell the composition is really good! What camera do you use now?

Had a rough sleep last night. Mainly because yesterday I found out some really bad news and it\'s not in my power to make it better, so I\'m trying to find a way to cope and accept the way things are and not focus so much on the fact that I can\'t change it... sigh...  Hope y\'all have a good day!
