Title: Photography Guides/Tutorials/Videos
Post by: Cobby on
From the number of people who seem to be interested in getting into photography, I thought it would be useful to gather a list of resources that could help people get startedBasics of Photography
Photography Basics (Link) - Gives you a whole load of information, not the easiest format to digest however.
Exposure Triangle (Link) - Understanding ISO/Aperture/Shutter Speed is vital to get the kind of shots you want.
Camera Modes (Link) - Learning what these modes do could help you understand what you would need to do yourself to get the same effect.
Composition (You\'ll see a lot of \"rules\" in this section, however we all know rules are made to be broken. Use these as a starting place, but don\'t be afraid to break them
Rule of Thirds (Link) - Probably the first thing I try and think about in a photo. While you can try and adjust this in post production, trying to frame it correctly in the first place will help.
\"10 rules of photo composition\" (Link) - Just 10 basic principles, with good examples of why each improves a specific photo.
Miscellaneous
Photography Simulator (Link) - Once you have had a look at some of the guides above, this will let you play around with camera settings, experimenting with different things, without having to even pick up or buy an expensive SLR.
Feel free to share any videos/guides/tutorials you may find that could help anyone else.

Yes, very useful.
I am hoping we may be able to attract a photographer to do a feature for us, in fact I have approached two but one sadly cannot commit to this project.
