I was looking to get a Canon rebel t5 dslr... any thoughts? I used to a canon dslr back like 8 years ago and it took amazing pictures! Sadly I was only borrowing the camera at the time... really wish I had one of my own.I\'m really looking for a good dslr for my photos. Right now just using my phone for it -- decent camera, but I want my stuff to look more professional haha!Another question for you -- do you think a macbook vs a laptop is better for photo/video editing and such or do you think it doesn\'t matter what device you use and only the software matters?

You can use photoshop for editing photos, however there are better programs that let you organise your photos and speeds up your workflow. Sorry it\'s all a bit of a ramble \"xD\"/emoticons/laugh.png date=1443051556]

/profile/22-cobby/\" data-ipshover=\"\" data-ipshover-target=\"http://poetryartonline.com/profile/22-cobby/?do=hovercard\" data-mentionid=\"22\">@Cobby thanks a lot for the detailed response!I haven\'t used a nikon camera so I\'m not sure how I\'d like that in comparison to the canon which is the only dslr I\'ve ever used hahaI\'m going to more thoroughly read through the link you sent!As for the mac vs pc -- I\'ve only ever used a pc/laptop at home, but I have used iMacs for a few classes I took in high school and university (took photography, videography, and a couple of graphic design classes). I\'ve never liked the OS for macs because I feel like it\'s not as user friendly as Windows, but that may also be because I got accustomed to using Windows and only used iOS for a few weeks. I guess I was wondering what you though about it because I often hear that macs are better when it comes to photo and video editing. I also see a lot of professionals I follow who only use apple stuff when it comes to that. So I was wondering if you knew what the hype is all about hahaThanks again for taking the time to write such a detailed response - much appreciated!

Mega pixels aren\'t everything.  Just because a camera has a higher number of mega pixels, it doesn\'t mean it will give you better pictures2. Optical zoom is better than digital zoom! Optical zoom is generally preferred over digital, as it is a true zoom.  Digital zoom actually just takes an un-zoomed picture and tries to edit it digitally to give it the appearance of being zoomed in! As such, don\'t choose a camera just because it seems to have a big zoom, which could turn out to be a digital zoom.

Thanks /profile/22-cobby/\" data-ipshover=\"\" data-ipshover-target=\"http://poetryartonline.com/profile/22-cobby/?do=hovercard\" data-mentionid=\"22\">@Cobby.

I will probably purchase one from the Argos in town. Its only a short walk from where I live, so I can have a go at this.
